Kew gardens

Went to Kew Gardens yesterday to see the Nights of Glass exhibition by Chihuly, it was OK, some of the glass features were really good but other than that theirs nothing much to brag about but im glad i've seen it. £7 to get in tho (not worth that much) although it turned out to be a mission to get their, as their were no trains running between earls court and richmond. later took a trip into soho and had a few drinks. got a bit tipsy and felt a bit worse for wear this morning.
Image No1 was oen of the main pieces, it was meant to be the sun, the raeson for this was the fact that it was in the tropical house and it was all associated with that sort of tropical climate, it weighs a total of 4,600 pounds and is made up of over 1000 pieces of hand blown glass. My oppinion on it is that it looked like a mass ball of snakes slithering around.
Image No2 is looking on to the area called the 'Reeds' this was all done with blow piping and some machinery, was really interesting to look at, especially the way the purple and red pieces reflected the light, almost making them illuminous.
Image No3 Called the 'Green Grass' this part was my favourite, for several reasons not only did the pieces look really funky but the spikes really blended in well with the plant structure around them, these pieces were beneath a big leaved tropical plant(no idea of its name)but the spikes looked really impressive agains these plants. creates a really bold structure
